(A Poetry Reflection of Matthew 27)
Reflecting on how You were beaten,
How You were despised & suffered in pain.
But You endured, You carried the cross,
Our sins, wickedness and loss.
Because of our transgressions,
Your hands and feet were nailed.
Because of our imperfections,
Your body was unveiled.
You took the punishment,
You gave Your life for us.
That one Friday of atonement,
You proved Your love for us.
Our heartaches, our sufferings are paid.
Our burdens, our sorrows are concealed.
By Your blood on the cross, we are made,
By Your wounds, we are forever healed!
